Qantas Airways is indeed the best Australian airline. I always like to travel with them. Their tickets are also quite affordable as well and their staff is very well prepared. Actually, I am looking to book a flight for Tokyo wit them. I'm planing to go there for my summer holiday. I found some cheap hotels in Tokyo, I booked a room and now I need to book my flight.

Qantas Airways is certainly one of the very few in the world who are operating profitably amongst toughest completion in this market. The combination of LCC and the GFC is driving Qantas to make decision such as to remove first class seat configuration.

Qantas certainly is using its Jestar effectively to capitalize demands of LCC by offsetting Qantas full service offerings where appropriate. 2 Brand policy of Qantas Group has been a success story.

Qantas also has a rare advantage that its premium airline has both an international and a domestic arm - something that not many other airlines can offer. This allows huge flexibility in strategy when it comes to setting airfares.

Kudos to Qantas for recognising the shift in the market and putting up a $400 million investment to upgrade and reconfigure their cabins. Qantas sees the reconfiguration move as increasing the space allocated to premium passengers (Business and Premium Economy) in terms of number of seats. One thing for sure the demand for premium economy is so strong and here to stay that will probably see more and more airlines introducing it.
