What is the Outlook Survey?
To help airline marketing professionals assess where the industry is headed — with a special focus on the role of social media in marketing — each year SimpliFlying publishes the Airline Social Media Outlook Report.
Conducted since 2010, this report is based on a survey that seeks to uncover insights about the present and future of airline social media marketing, resourcing and strategy. Last year, airline executives from over 70 airlines participated in the survey.
The purpose of the Outlook Report is to spread awareness about the trends in airline social media marketing, and to enable marketers to make informed strategic decisions in the light of these trends and facts.

The Outlook Survey derives actionable insights about the following five areas based on the survey responses.

After collecting responses from airline executives for one month, we analyse them, and publish the findings and insights in an annual Outlook Report, along with an infographic and videographic. (Download last year’s report.)
Each annual report is distributed free of charge in the interest of helping airline marketers worldwide make informed decisions about their marketing plans for the next year.
